Dear WCCC,

Mighty days and stormy nights.
As aggravating, encouraging, dispiriting, obnoxious (pick one, or substitute your own adjective) as last night's debate was, we also held a deacons' meeting and moved toward plans for winter services. There was an almost tropical rain after midnight. People will do their best, the earth will take its rest and the sun also rises.
This evening we have :
01) the story of Jesus and a distraught, but not despairing, mother. We have prayers, as well.
02)The magnificent Marion Williams singing "Even Me" a song you need to hear.

Take care and give care.
Take comfort and give comfort.

Love,
Steve

Dear WCCC,

We'll gather round our cellphones or computers, the 21st century shrines, to listen to songs and sermons this week. Next Sunday, the weather and the virus willing, we can gather on Sunday morning. We have music today! "Peter On The Sea" by the Utica Institute Jubilee Singers, was recorded late 1920s and the Institute, now known as Hinds Community College, is in Utica Mississippi. “Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream" encore performance by Penny Schultz. "Tom Dooley" an instrumental version by Big Jack Johnson and The Oil Men. Also prayers and a sermon.

Let's stay together, 6 feet apart.

Steve

Dear WCCC, here is our Wednesday service. We must reflect and address our times. We must transcend them, too.

Here is help from varied sources:

01) A haiku, who knew? from our friend Paul Strasburg
02) Prayers
03) A message, which needs to be continued
04) "Grinnin' In Your Face" a capella by Johnny Nicholas, short order cook and slide guitar are his specialties

No rest for the weary? This is your holiday; the day my parents married; the cusp of the seasons.

Political content… So much more could be said and so much more must be done, but here is some passion on a wet Wednesday. In the message, I ask for help, hope, ideas, suggestions about these matters. I'm serious. God bless you all. - Steve
